Commercial HVAC-R Service/Install Technician

Description Schwickert’s Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. Our HVAC‑R Service/Install Technician roles are for individuals who are skilled and are looking to grow in their careers. This position involves performing HVAC‑R system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work on commercial HVAC‑R systems while providing insight and training to other technicians. Sign‑on Bonus SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR UP TO A $1,000 SIGN‑ON BONUS! Pay Starting pay ranges from $30‑$47+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Essential Duties & Responsibilities HVAC‑R system troubleshooting and repair of units. Installation of commercial HVAC‑R systems, ductwork, specialty equipment and start‑up. Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of commercial HVAC units. Ensure compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and maintain a safe work environment. On‑call duties as required. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Technical school degree desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience but not required. 3‑5+ years experience preferred. Ability to learn and take direction from crew foreman. Valid driver’s license. Must be EPA certified or willing to take the EPA exam within a month of starting date. NATE certification or similar, DDC/Pneumatic control experience, boilers license, and refrigeration background is desired but not required. No fear of heights. Lift 50+ lbs. Sit, stand, and climb stairs.
