Technical Sales Manager, Americas Sineng Electric Inc. | Katy, TX (on-site) | Full-time | Travel up to 50% Base salary range: $80,000 – $150,000 + performance incentive

Sineng Electric is a global manufacturer of photovoltaic inverters and battery energy storage systems. Our Americas subsidiary supports utility-scale, commercial and industrial customers across the United States, Canada, and Latin America from our headquarters in Katy, Texas.

THE ROLE

We're hiring a Technical Sales Manager to be the technical authority behind our Americas sales effort. You'll work alongside our Account Managers from the first customer conversation through contract award — sizing systems, building technical proposals, answering engineering questions from developers, EPCs, and utilities, and making sure our products clear North American code and interconnection requirements.

This is a customer-facing role for someone equally comfortable in a design review, on a construction site, and across the table from a utility interconnection engineer.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Partner with Account Managers on customer calls, site visits, and technical presentations; translate customer requirements into system architectures and product configurations
• Perform system sizing and product selection for PV inverter and BESS applications across utility-scale and C&I segments
• Own the technical sections of RFP, RFQ, and ITB responses — compliance matrices, single-line diagrams, performance estimates, clarifications, and exception lists
• Advise customers on NEC, UL 1741 SA/SB, UL 9540 and 9540A, IEEE 1547-2018, and state and utility interconnection requirements
• Support customers through AHJ review, interconnection applications, and witness testing
• Deliver product and application training to customers, distributors, EPC partners, and internal sales staff
• Support commissioning escalations alongside our field service team; act as the bridge between customer and factory engineering
• Feed market and field requirements back to factory product management to shape roadmap and certification priorities
• Represent Sineng at trade shows and customer technical workshops

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a closely related technical field
• 5+ years in technical sales, application engineering, or solutions engineering for PV inverters, energy storage, or power electronics
• Working knowledge of NEC, UL 1741 SA/SB, IEEE 1547-2018, and North American utility interconnection processes
• Experience with 1500 VDC and medium-voltage PV architectures and/or MW-scale BESS (PCS, BMS, EMS integration)
• Track record writing and defending technical proposals in front of developers, EPCs, and utility engineers
• Strong written and verbal English; able to lead technical meetings independently
• Willing to travel up to 50%, including occasional international travel
• Valid driver's license; able to meet site-access and safety requirements
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

NICE TO HAVE

• Utility-scale BESS projects of 20 MWh or larger
• PVsyst, HelioScope, ETAP, or PSCAD
• Professional working proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Mandarin
• Prior experience at an inverter, storage, or EPC company serving North America
• NABCEP certification or PE license
