Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Skilled Machinist to join our family owned facility of 45 plus years in Irwin, PA. As a Skilled Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the production process, utilizing your expertise in machining to create high-quality components and parts. If you have a passion for precision and a commitment to excellence, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities- Set up and operate various types of machining equipment, including lathes, mills, CNC machines and drill presses.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations.
- Monitor and adjust machining processes to ensure optimal performance and quality standards.
- Minor programming/ Trouble shooting abilities to alter programs as needed.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and adherence to specifications using precision measuring tools.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is a plus.
- Proven experience as a machinist of 3 plus years.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
