Lead Software Engineer, AI-Native Components

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of practical experience
• Proven ability to lead effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools, including setting standards for validating output accuracy, performance, and security
• Strong understanding of responsible AI practices in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, and resiliency and security expectations
• Experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption of AI within delivery practices
• Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced proficiency in Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Strong capability in automation and continuous delivery approaches
• Thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Demonstrated expertise in a technical area such as cloud, artificial intelligence, or machine learning
• Practical cloud-native experience
• Preferred: experience building SDKs, frameworks, or developer platforms used by other engineering teams
• Preferred: experience with AI-native tooling and AI-assisted development workflows
• Preferred: production shipping experience involving AI or AI capability development

• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others
• We identify and remove recurring issues through automation to improve application and system stability
• We drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational results
• We apply software development life cycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase automation value
• We build components to be easily adopted across the enterprise and designed for automatic upgrades
• We lead communities of practice across software engineering to encourage awareness and adoption of modern technologies and shared frameworks
