Food Service Manager

Terms of Employment This is a 9 month position, 8 hours/day. This position is eligible for benefits. Purpose Cook and serve a nutritious lunch for students and staff. Provides guidance and supervision for all food service staff. Respond to and resolve routine employee situations. Provide training for all new employees. Complete payroll sheets. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Director of Food Service. Qualifications 2-4 years of previous experience as a cook, chef, or food preparer in a restaurant or cafeteria setting. Math skills so as to follow and convert recipes. Organizational skills with ability to work effectively in fast paced environment. Demonstrated ability to safely operate school food service equipment. Good oral and interpersonal communication skills in order to provide directions to others. Work well with others in a team environment. Know, understand and practice sanitation practices. Written skills in order to complete daily reports and logs. Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, and proven computer usage skills to create and maintain accurate records regarding district purchases and distribution. #J-18808-Ljbffr
