Service Parts Associate

Responsible for assisting all Distribution Business customers, technicians, and other parts personnel in securing needed parts and supplies under moderate or direct supervision. We are looking for a talented Service Parts Associate to join our Distribution Business in San Leandro, CA. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complying with Health, Safety & Environmental policies and utilizing appropriate PPE
• Managing customer parts counter activities including phone and walk-in support
• Processing transactions accurately (cash, check, and credit card)
• Maintaining strong internal and external customer relationships
• Escalating complex customer concerns appropriately
• Supporting sourcing and fulfillment of complex or hard-to-find parts
• Collaborating with technicians to identify and procure parts efficiently
• Managing stock levels, shipping/receiving, and inventory-related activities
• Supporting core processing and other warehouse functions as assigned
• Identifying opportunities to upsell complementary products and services
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional parts counter and warehouse

• Working knowledge of order processing systems and inventory control methodologies

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computer-based systems
• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Some work experience or intermediate-level knowledge gained through education, training, or hands-on experience
• Helpful knowledge of engines, marine equipment, on-highway equipment, and power generation parts research (internal candidates)
• Ability to comply with export control or regulatory licensing requirements if applicable

Assist customers at the front counter, warehouse inventory management, shipping and receiving parts, processing core returns, and assist in shop technicians for accurate parts needed for the work orders.

Education, Licenses, Certifications: High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports, and advanced level computer skills. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Requires some work experience or intermediate level of knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

Compensation and Benefits Base Salary rate commensurate with experience.
