Mechanical Claims Adjuster

Utilizing a mechanical background, the remote Mechanical Claims Adjuster will investigate, evaluate, and negotiate vehicle repair claims while managing costs and ensuring accurate coverage determinations. Key Responsibilities: Adjudicate and authorize claims within designated authority, providing clarity on coverage and financial commitments Handle 50-70 inbound calls daily from repair centers and customers, addressing inquiries and providing information on coverage Review claims based on diagnostic information from repair facilities, ensuring compliance with established processes and procedures Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent work experience 1-2 years of experience at a dealership or independent auto repair shop 1-2 years of knowledge in automotive repair procedures, processes, parts, and costs Proven success in negotiation and problem-solving Familiarity with ProDemand, Alldata, and Carfax is a plus
