Night Float Anesthesiologist

BronxCare, NYC’s largest not-for-profit health and teaching hospital system, is seeking a Night Float Anesthesiologist to join its collaborative care team. This role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care for a diverse range of cases, working closely with the Mount Sinai Health System. • The BronxCare network provides close to 1 million outpatient visits, and ER volume has increased to 140,000 visits annually
• Clinical Collaboration with the Mount Sinai Health System
• Medical school affiliation with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

Responsibilities

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

• Salary: $620,000
• Sign-on Package: up to $100,000

Shift & Schedule

• 26 weeks on/off
• 7p-7a shift

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a Physician
