This position will represent GVSU to prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors and other individuals or organizationsinvolved in the college selection process. This position willmanage assigned recruitment territory through prospect relationshipmanagement, leveraging partnerships, relationships, and admissionsand enrollment data to maintain consistent recruitment activity, toincrease prospective student interaction, and influence admissionyield. Salary & Benefits: $51,000 - $55,000, commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefitspackage including medical, vision, dental, life insurance,generous employer retirement contributions, wellness resources, andtuition waiver effective on date of hire. Primary Duties: Represent GVSU both on and off-campus to prospective students,parents, secondary school counselors, and other individuals ororganizations involved in the college selection process. Advise prospective applicants on the admissions process,academic programs, support resources, and opportunities at theuniversity through in-person and virtual appointments, small grouppresentations, phone calls, and emails. Manage assigned recruitment territory through prospectrelationship management, leveraging partnerships, relationships,and admissions and enrollment data to maintain consistentrecruitment activity, to increase prospective student interaction,and influence admission yield. Review materials submitted by applicants for the purposes ofmaking admission decisions. Develop and implement recruitment and yield projects asassigned. Participate in information sessions, open houses, and otherrecruitment and yield events. Perform other duties as required/assigned by leadership. Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Bachelor's degree. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in customer service,recruitment, education, sales, or related field. Strong cross-cultural skills. Strong presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbalcommunication skills. Commitment to GVSU's vision of inclusion and equity. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to remotelocations and to load and transport admissions materials, displaysand other equipment. Ability to work evening and weekend hours required throughoutthe year, especially during the fall travel season. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Higher education experience. Experience with customer relationship management systems(CRM). College/university admissions experience or experience workingwith middle school or high school audiences. Bilingual in Spanish. Working Conditions: Monday through Friday, with evening and weekend work requiredthroughout the year. Admissions recruitment occurs primarily by in-personappointments, but also by small group presentations, zoomappointments, phone calls and emails. Extensive travel is required.
