The Haas School of Business and the Center for Healthcare Marketplace Innovation (CHMI) are part of this ecosystem, with a joint initiative across schools to advance healthcare systems and market-oriented solutions. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of the CHMI, including staff management, IT, budgeting, planning, and administrative activities for the research lab, startup studio, and policy accelerator. Manage operations that are complex in terms of budgets, faculty, staff, students, and facilities; coordinate programs, projects and events with center leaders and campus partners. Coordinate with faculty affiliates across departments to ensure project execution. Contribute to and/or lead grant writing, fundraising, and related activities to fund center initiatives. Lead administrative operations: IT resources, facilities, HR, student services, and contracts and grants; manage office space and center IT assets. Develop budgets with multiple funding sources and plan administrative services improvements; coordinate grants and contracts processes with center leadership and staff. Provide analysis for budget and financial reporting; monitor expenditures and ensure compliance with grant and contract requirements. Ensure compliance with healthcare data handling and related management tasks for grants and contracts. Supervise support staff or a small team of researchers, postdocs, and graduate students; oversee center facilities and space management. Represent the center in internal and external meetings and committees; participate in cross-institutional task forces as appropriate. Engage in professional learning and growth opportunities and promote a culture of belonging aligned with Haas leadership principles. Qualifications Advanced knowledge of University rules, data management, contracts and grants management, fund management, and personnel management, including represented employees. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening, critical thinking, advising, and counseling. Experience in administrative operations such as event planning, fundraising, risk management, website design, accounting and payroll, data handling, and contracts/grants regulations; healthcare industry knowledge is essential. Ability to use discretionary judgment and maintain confidentiality; strong strategic planning, analysis, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Knowledge of financial analysis and reporting, and HR policies for staff and academic employees; experience with healthcare industry data handling and IT requirements is preferred. Excellent collaboration skills and a track record of building positive working relationships with colleagues, students and team members. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training.
