Work Environment

This role is an onsite position, primarily conducted in clients' homes in the Orlando area. As a Physical Therapist working with Baylor, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive interdisciplinary team, collaborating with healthcare professionals to devise a holistic approach to patient care. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Baylor Physical Therapy, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing personalized treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function to enhance overall client performance.
• Supervising and collaborating with Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the effective delivery of care as outlined in treatment plans.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical abilities through tests focused on muscle, nerve, and functional capabilities.
• Assessing clients' home environments to recommend modifications that improve independence and safety.
• Providing direct physical therapy services at home, including administering therapeutic exercises, traction, and massage as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitoring and recording clients' progress, communicating any changes in their condition to the interdisciplinary team, and making suggestions for care adjustments.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, to support comprehensive treatment records.
• Participating in interdisciplinary case conferences, sharing insights to improve overall treatment strategies, and engaging with clients and their families to provide support and education.
• Staying current with best practices in the field and contributing to ongoing training for therapy assistants.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will provide care to a wide range of patients, from those recovering from surgery or injury to individuals managing chronic conditions that impact their mobility and overall quality of life. Your ability to adapt treatment strategies to meet the unique needs of each client will be vital in facilitating their recovery process and promoting long-term independence.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Florida.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in home care.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills that foster positive relationships with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

While not required, the following experience will enhance your candidacy:

• Experience working in home healthcare or hospice environments.

Compensation and Benefits
