Engineer Surveyor Specialising in Electrical & Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) Allianz Engineering Inspection Services is looking for a skilled and motivated Engineer Surveyor specialising in Electrical & Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) to join our growing team. Role Description As an Engineer Surveyor, you'll be responsible for inspecting, testing, and reporting on a wide range of electrical systems and LEV equipment, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and industry best practices. Carry out inspections of electrical plant and LEV systems in accordance with relevant legislation and standards Carry out the Periodic Inspection & Test and complete the EICR for all types of Industrial & Commercial installations such as Offices, Factories, Quarries and their associated Electrical apparatus. As well as examination of LEV plant including air movers (fans), ducting, hoods, and filtration systems to control fumes, dust and mists created by both industrial and commercial processes Produce clear, accurate reports and certification Identify defects and provide practical, safety driven recommendations Build strong relationships with customers, offering technical guidance and support Ensure all activities meet Allianz quality, safety, and compliance standards Salary Information Pay: Circa £45,539 per year. + Company car Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package. About You Up to date on your knowledge and understanding of all relevant Compliance and Regulatory rules and procedures that relate to the Electrical / LEV discipline. Effective at short, medium and long-term planning, in order to diarise meetings, visits and work allocation. Able to travel effectively within their local allocated work area. Able to process documentation, as well as undertaking general administration. A good team player, for example deputising for fellow Engineer Surveyors (of own discipline) as and when required. Essential Skills Practical background in low voltage wiring installation, inspection or maintenance and fault finding. This would include factories, houses, shops etc. Successful candidates are required to hold a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and holds a BS7671:2018 (18th Edition), C&G2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent. Awareness of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems and an understanding of the COSHH Regulations UK Driver's License. Aptitude and understanding of the need for planning and an ability to prioritise your own workload. Strong customer interaction skills are essential, including good oral and written communication skills.
