Medical Receptionist

At Skin and Aesthetics Center, our Medical Receptionists serve as the first point of contact for patients across our extensive network of partner practice locations. As part of our comprehensive healthcare management services organization, this position is essential to delivering exceptional patient service while managing the administrative functions that keep our practices running smoothly.The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and skilled at multitasking in a busy healthcare environment. You'll manage patient interactions, scheduling, and administrative duties while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and confidentiality.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious medical office or customer service experience preferredProficiency with computer systems and multi-line phone systemsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in dermatology or specialty medical practiceKnowledge of medical terminology and insurance proceduresBilingual (preferred) - ability to communicate with diverse patient populationsExperience with electronic health records and practice management systemsResponsibilities:Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and warmthSchedule appointments across multiple providers and locations efficientlyVerify insurance eligibility and collect patient demographic informationProcess patient check-ins and check-outs, including payment collectionAnswer multi-line phones, direct calls, and take detailed messagesCoordinate referrals and prior authorizations with insurance companiesMaintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all timesTravel between assigned practice locations to provide coverage as neededSupport office operations including filing, data entry, and inventory managementTravel Requirements:Reliable transportation required for travel between designated practice locationsPrimary Locations: Toms River, Jackson and WhitingKey Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational abilities and attention to detailProficiency with practice management software and EHR systemsKnowledge of insurance verification and medical billing basicsProfessional phone etiquette and customer service orientationReliable transportation for travel between assigned locations#MR2026 #J-18808-Ljbffr ABACUS DERMATOLOGY MANAGEMENT LLC
