Litigation Paralegal

Role Description We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal with at least three years of experience for our CHICAGO office. This role works directly with attorneys and other support staff throughout the entire lifecycle of our clients' legal issues. Core responsibilities include legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing e‑discovery, organizing case files, and providing direct assistance during trials. We are also seeking a Litigation Paralegal for our NORTHERN INDIANA office in Crown Point. The successful candidate will have experience in defense litigation, experience in drafting discovery, reviewing and compiling documents for production, preparing requests for medical records, and helping with trial preparations, such as researching and retaining experts, preparing medical chronologies and specials summaries, and preparing deposition summaries. Must be proficient in MS Word, detail‑oriented, and have strong writing, organizational and communication skills. Trial experience a plus. These are full‑time roles with an initial on‑site commitment and hybrid work arrangements available after training and evaluation. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required, paralegal certificate preferred 3+ years of experience in civil litigation, especially med mal, product or premises liability, or toxic tort litigation Must be proficient in Microsoft 365, and document review platforms Strong legal research skills using Lexis‑Nexis Experience in legal case management and document review Knowledge of litigation procedures Use of Odyssey e‑file and experience with federal court filing and/or rule 26 disclosures is helpful Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff.
