Administrative Assistant III – Claims Processor
Location: Menands NY
Pay Rate: $30.20 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Position Type: Temporary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant III / Claims Processor to support the Uninsured Care Program. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of claims while providing administrative support for daily program operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate claim records.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of claim data.
- Assist with the coordination of benefit-related activities.
- Process and adjudicate claims in accordance with established procedures.
- Generate and distribute remittance documentation.
- Respond to inquiries from providers and program participants regarding claims and payment status.
- Ensure claims are processed efficiently and paid in a timely manner.
- Support day-to-day operations related to claims processing for the AIHP.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
- Previous administrative, claims processing, or healthcare-related experience preferred.
- Strong data entry and computer skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database systems preferred.
