Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM


Location: Hybrid - primarily on-site with one work-from-home day per week


Position Summary


We are seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide first-level technical support to employees and assist with maintaining the organization's IT environment. This position will troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and user access issues while managing support requests and providing timely, effective solutions.


The ideal candidate has hands-on technical support experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and common networking concepts.


Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support through phone, email, chat, and in-person requests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, network, and account-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, and approved software applications.
• Create, update, and manage technical support tickets using a ticketing system.
• Assist users with password resets, account access, and basic system administration.
• Set up workstations and deploy equipment for employee onboarding and offboarding.
• Provide technical support for mobile devices and remote users.
• Document technical issues, resolutions, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for IT equipment and assets.
• Follow IT security policies and promote cybersecurity best practices, including password security and phishing awareness.
• May be assigned other duties by managers as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of help desk, desktop support, or technical support experience.
• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common business applications.
• Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, and user account administration.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPNs, printers, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Ability to troubleshoot computer hardware, software, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
• Working knowledge of basic cybersecurity practices.
• Experience supporting remote users and mobile devices.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar platforms.
• Ability to work primarily on-site with one remote workday per week.
• Ability to occasionally work after hours or on weekends for system maintenance, upgrades, or emergency technical issues.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, climb, and perform other physical activities associated with IT equipment support.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials weighing up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field.
