Agency Development Manager

Role Description The Agency Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Litchfield Park, AZ. This role is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and developing agency representatives to grow Colonial Life’s presence in the local market. Day-to-day activities include coaching and mentoring sales teams, setting performance expectations, monitoring progress against goals, and providing ongoing training on products, sales techniques, and compliance requirements. The Agency Development Manager collaborates with business partners to build strategic relationships, identify new business opportunities, and support enrollment initiatives with employer groups. The role also involves analyzing market trends, preparing reports, and ensuring that agency operations follow company policies and regulatory guidelines. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in sales leadership, agency management, or business development within insurance, financial services, or a related field. Strong skills in coaching, mentoring, and team development to support performance improvement and professional growth. Proficiency in relationship building, networking, and account management to foster partnerships with employers and community organizations. Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex benefit information clearly. Solid organizational and analytical skills, including goal setting, performance tracking, and use of data to guide decisions. Comfort with technology tools for CRM, reporting, virtual training, and enrollment platforms. Ability to work on-site in Litchfield Park, AZ, with a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally as needed. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of workplace benefits, insurance products, and regulatory compliance is highly beneficial; relevant licenses or willingness to obtain required insurance licenses.
