Shift Type: Days, 40 hours per week; schedule may extend until 7:00 PM on Mondays and/or Wednesdays. No weekends required; holiday coverage as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient health assessments using effective interviewing and physical assessment skills to identify needs and develop appropriate nursing diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments while exercising professional nursing judgment and prioritizing patient acuity and workload demands.
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based patient care and act as a role model for excellence in nursing practice.
• Document all relevant patient data, including signs, symptoms, assessments, interventions, and patient responses to care.
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust the plan of care to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Deliver health teaching and counseling to patients and families, advocating for their best interests.
• Collaborate with the care team and assist clinicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of nursing experience is required.
• Experience in a practice setting is highly preferred.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Active New Hampshire Nursing License (verified via Nursys) is required; candidates with pending licenses will be considered.
• Ability to work daytime hours with occasional extension until 7:00 PM is needed.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong physical assessment and patient care skills
• Proficient in medication administration and documentation
• Excellent critical thinking and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of the nursing process and NH Nurse Practice Act
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
