SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - SAP / MONTH-END CLOSE

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Burbank finance team. This hands-on role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong month-end close, general ledger, reconciliation, and operational accounting experience in a fast-paced business environment.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role will support key accounting functions including month-end close, reconciliations, sales tax support, commissions, intercompany accounting, royalties, and audit support.

MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE
· Month-end close experience
· General ledger accounting
· Account reconciliations
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
· ERP/accounting systems experience
· 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

STRONG PLUS
· SAP accounting experience
· Multi-state sales tax compliance
· Distribution, wholesale, consumer products, or similar industry experience
· Commission accounting experience
· Intercompany accounting experience
· Audit support experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Own critical aspects of the month-end close process including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, amortization, depreciation, and reconciliations
· Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and supporting schedules
· Support preparation and filing of multi-state sales tax returns and maintain resale tax exemption certificates
· Respond to tax notices and compliance-related inquiries
· Calculate and analyze commissions and royalties
· Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations
· Review budget-to-actual variances and identify accrual or reclassification adjustments
· Support year-end audit preparation and audit requests
· Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and reporting efficiency

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a full-time onsite position based in Burbank, California. Candidates should be comfortable commuting to Burbank for an onsite role.

Periodic extended hours may be required during month-end close, year-end close, audit periods, budgeting cycles, and inventory-related activities.
