Indotronix is seeking Electro-mechanical Technician (Onsite Job) in Maple Grove, MN

Hourly Payrate: $35/hr. on W2

Onsite Job: Electro-mechanical Technician

Work Location: Maple Grove, MN

Duration: 12+ Months, Temporary to Hire

Work Schedule: 9/80

Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.

2-year technical degree OR at least 2 years of related technician experience.

Position Description:

• Client is seeking an experienced technician to work in its Pilot & Pre-Production Lines performing electro-mechanical assembly of electronic products and support equipment.
• Must be able to understand and work from engineering drawings and sketches and follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Must be able and willing to work additional hours when required, including weekends as needed.
• Perform repetitive to non-repetitive assembly operations of electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies on ordnance products.
• Perform duties assisting team members in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities, troubleshooting and transitioning products into production.

Skills Required:

• Required skills include proficient use of electronic test equipment, electrical assembly tools and hand tools.

Specific skills include:

• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
• Precision and fine motor skills required for micro/nano scale fabrication, assembly, test with near zero defects.
• Must be able to demonstrate high degree of mechanical aptitude and J-STD-001 or have knowledge of these requirements.
• Conduct tests using electronics test equipment (ie. Scopes, meters, etc) and generate test report data.
• Must demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
• Must be able to up to 35 lb.

Skills Preferred:

Preferred skills include:

• Ability to communicate feedback to the team to support design, fabrication and test improvements.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve assembly issues.
• Cirris and/or Automated Test Equipment operator experience
• Troubleshooting of electronic and electro-mechanical systems
• Trained and proficient in manufacturing & quality requirements of IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 and J-STD-001 or have knowledge of these requirements
• Basic understanding of GD&T

Education & Experience Required:

• 2-year technical degree or a Minimum of 2 years as a technician performing related tasks, either in a production or prototype environment.

Additional Information:

• Skills evaluation may be conducted during the interview. Will be required to work on site daily.
• Candidates must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.
