Payroll Specialist Opportunity

LaSalle Network is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization to identify a Payroll Specialist for a high-impact contract opportunity. This Payroll Specialist will play a critical role in supporting a high-volume weekly payroll operation for approximately 600-700 employees, including a large union workforce. The ideal candidate is eager to grow their payroll career, enjoys working with data and reporting and can help maintain payroll accuracy in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Payroll Specialist with 1-3 years of payroll experience who is looking to gain exposure to complex payroll operations, multiple payroll systems and cross-functional collaboration. With a strong focus on payroll validation, reporting and process support, this role offers valuable hands-on experience while contributing to a critical business function.

What's the job?

• Process high-volume weekly payroll for approximately 600-700 employees
• Support payroll activities for a large union employee population
• Pull and validate timekeeping data from UKG
• Load payroll data into SAP and prepare payroll files for processing
• Export payroll information into ADP Workforce Now
• Review payroll adjustments, sign-on bonuses, reimbursements and special payments
• Validate payroll calculations and ensure accuracy before processing
• Prepare payroll reports and supporting documentation
• Perform gross-to-net payroll reconciliations
• Support payroll-related general ledger activities and payroll postings
• Upload finalized payroll information into SAP for accounting purposes
• Partner with Finance, HR, IT and business leaders to resolve payroll issues and maintain compliance
• Assist with reporting, auditing and payroll process improvements

What's needed?

• 1-3 years of payroll experience
• Experience supporting payroll processing in a high-volume environment preferred
• Exposure to payroll systems such as UKG, SAP, ADP Workforce Now or similar platforms
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Experience working with payroll reports, reconciliations or data validation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
