Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable Clerk

Position Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will support our accounting department by managing financial transactions, vendor communications, and maintaining precise financial records in a fast-paced environment. This position will report directly to the Controller.Job Responsibilities:Open US mailSort mail with precisionSet up new vendors in accounting softwareresponsible for accounts payable email address and send or forward responsesFile and sort all payables for accounting managersReviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to paymentMatch checks with vendor invoicesMaintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policyProcess and record incoming check payments accurately and in a timely mannerPerforms other duties as required to support Accounting DepartmentCommunicate with internal staffing and/or vendors to resolve questions and request .Must have a strong work ethic.Must be well organized and a self-starter.Must be able to follow standard filing procedures.Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable.Proficient in Excel and Word.Possess strong organizational and time management skills.Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and proceduresAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.Reports to: ControllerQualifications:High School diploma or equivalent.At least 1 year of Accounts Payable experienceBasic knowledge of accountingProperty Management experience (preferred)Work Hours:8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m. (half hour lunch)Pay Rate:$49,921.92 annually, $24.00 per hourThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and work responsibilities of the position.
