Delivery Manager

In need of a top performing delivery manager for busy oil company. We are seeking a dedicated Delivery Manager to help oversee and coordinate our oil delivery operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient delivery processes, assisting in dispatching a team of drivers, and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels. Responsibilities pulls automatic deliveries based on need and assigns them based on their degree day and depending on the cod workload. Routing deliveries based on workload (over 600 residential deliveries daily in the winter) Adjusting k factors based on season Ensure all deliveries follow state, local, and federal regulations, specifically regarding Hazmat and hazardous materials handling. Pulling back stops that can be held at end of day if a driver is running late & reassign for another day. Speak with drivers before they head in Provides customer service to both cod and full-service customers Assist drivers with various issues during the day. Assess needs and put out the schedule for up to 24 drivers during the heating season. Assisting drivers with tablet issues review reports to be sure no deliveries are missed Work with scheduled deliveries at commercial locations ensuring accuracy Office Hours: Mon- Fri – starting at 8 am & Saturdays 8-4:30 from 11/1-3/31 Requirements Proven experience in delivery dispatching. Strong knowledge of GPS tracking systems Excellent analysis skills to interpret logistics data and optimize delivery routes. Proficiency in dispatching software and multi-line phone systems; ability to handle high-volume calls professionally. Exceptional communication skills with a focus on clear, courteous interactions via phone and email. Ability to perform data entry accurately under tight deadlines; typing skills are essential. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
