About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Accounting to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounting lifecycle, including individual capital accounts, balance sheet reconciliation, and the preparation of customized reporting packages. This role requires close coordination with tax, finance, and investment teams to ensure accurate reflection of portfolio activity in the books. The Vice President of Accounting will also oversee the financial aspects of special purpose vehicles, maintain general ledger integrity, and manage the month-end and year-end close processes. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a Master’s degree being a plus. A minimum of 7-10 years' of relevant experience, preferably in a professional accounting firm or multi-family office, is required. A CPA is mandatory, and additional certifications such as CFP, CFA, or MST are advantageous. The role demands a strong knowledge of GAAP, multi-entity and consolidated accounting, and experience in personal financial reporting for high-net-worth individuals. Advanced Excel skills, experience with accounting software, and a high level of discretion and confidentiality are essential. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage competing deadlines in a dynamic, growing organization.
