About Curve Royalty Systems Curve Royalty Systems is a people company that builds technology for the music industry. Our mission is simple: Make Royalties Better. We give labels, publishers, and rights holders the tools and support they need to ensure money flows accurately, transparently, and fairly to the people who create and sustain music. Our team has deep industry expertise and genuinely cares about the work, which means we focus on solving real problems for real people. How We Work We are a remote team of 36 people, spread across 10 countries. We stay closely connected through daily standups and regular online communication, making sure everyone stays aligned and supported in their work. We meet in person when it adds value, through occasional local meeting days and periodic team offsites. Trust is the foundation of how we work. As a fully remote team, we operate with a high level of autonomy and trust people to work in ways that suit them best. We expect everyone to take ownership of their responsibilities, make thoughtful decisions and speak up when they need support. What You’ll Do Work with our Client Manager to manage a portfolio of clients and act as their main point of contact, ensuring their needs are met with accuracy and care. Build trust‑based relationships with clients through clear communication and proactive support. Investigate data issues, ask the right questions, and work through problems methodically until they are resolved. Analyze large datasets using Excel and other tools to identify discrepancies and generate insightful reporting. Reformat large datasets and prep them for onboarding onto the Curve platform. Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and continuously improve service delivery. Build processes and use technology to help us scale and work more efficiently. Provide feedback to the product team to help improve Curve’s platform and client experience. Take an open approach to roles and responsibilities, looking for ways to incorporate strengths over time. Who We’re Looking For 2+ years of relevant experience, whether through professional roles, education, personal projects, or active involvement in the music industry, ideally with exposure to client‑facing work, royalties, accounting, copyright, or metadata. A clear communicator who enjoys working with people and building collaborative relationships through email and video calls. Ability to leverage technology to make reviewing, reformatting and processing data more efficient. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with creative use of formulas and tools such as XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables. Knowledge of Python and AI tools to automate repetitive data tasks is a big plus. A natural problem‑solver who enjoys digging into complex challenges and finding solutions, even when not all answers are known upfront. Solid mathematical skills that can be applied to reviewing and analyzing royalty calculations. Attention to detail and care in work. Self‑motivated, self‑managed, and comfortable working independently in a remote team. Curiosity: ready to explore and learn new things when something catches your attention. Confidence in asking questions and seeking help when needed. Cover letters are optional but encouraged. Curve Royalty Systems provides base salary ranges for all positions located in the United States at the time of posting. The salary range for this position is $45,000–$55,000 annually.
