OR Surgical Technologist

Position Overview United Health Services (UHS) Chenango Memorial Hospital is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated OR Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic surgical team. In this vital role, you will play a crucial part in delivering safe, efficient, and high‑quality patient care within our fast‑paced operating room environment. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms and ensure all surgical instruments are sterile and readily available. Assist surgeons and nurses throughout various procedures, anticipating and providing assistance as needed. Observe and practice sterile technique, maintain asepsis, and operate as a team member of the OR staff. Participate actively in patient care and safety and use OR supplies conservatively. Qualifications Meets the NYS Surgical Technologist Certification Law; or Completed a Surgical Technologist program in the Armed Forces; or Completed a nationally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist with a nationally accredited credential. High School diploma or equivalent. CPR certification within 3 months of hire. Preferred: Previous Operating Room or Surgical Technologist experience. Active NY state LPN license (if applicable). Compensation Hourly rate: $25.12 – $35.87 per hour, depending on experience. Sign‑on incentive: up to a $15,000 bonus for eligible candidates. Work Schedule 40‑hour work week, 10‑hour days, on‑call shifts for 24/7 coverage including weekends and holidays.
