Job Summary:

Shermco Industries is seeking an electrical or reliability engineer with a strategic mindset who is ready to take their technical expertise into a more strategic, client-facing role. In this role you will oversee and manage client relationships on a national basis. You will act as the technical senior account representative for the company and work with our national clients and partners. As a National Account Manager, you’ll partner with engineering and operations leaders across 5-7 major F&B companies to help them improve safety, reliability, and performance through Shermco’s electrical services. This is not a traditional sales job — it’s a technical leadership role where your engineering knowledge is the foundation for building relationships, solving problems, and growing key national accounts. Most of our top National Account Managers began their careers as engineers, not salespeople.

Location: Remote with 50% travel.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop comprehensive Account plans with trackable metrics and KPIs.
\n
• Creating and monitoring targets for the national sales department.
\n
• Building a trusting and professional relationship with clients.
\n
• Meeting with clients and account managers.
\n
• Ensuring that all accounts are looked after and maintained.
\n
• Supervising and managing regional salespeople in your department.
\n
• Following up on complaints and queries on behalf of clients.
\n
• Promoting new services and products to clients in your department.
\n
• Reporting to senior management on the status of your accounts.
\n
• Taking a leading role in presentations and proposals for national accounts.
\n
• Monitoring and identifying market trends, competitive advantages, etc.

Required Skills:

• A bachelor's degree in engineering

• A minimum of 5 years’ electrical/power related experience as an electrical engineer or reliability engineer.

• The ability to interact with all levels within and organization from engineering to the CEO).

• A grasp of sales metrics, performance measures, and technical indicators.
