Support Strategic Growth.Pay: $80,000 – $90,000 per yearPosition Type: Full-Time, ExemptLocation: Colorado (Hybrid)Work Arrangement: Hybrid; 3 or more days in office preferredReports To: ControllerThe RoleThe Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the financial health and operational excellence of Tasman by ensuring the timely and accurate completion of accounting functions, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.This position works closely with the Controller and CFO to support accounting operations, analyze financial results, develop process improvements, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growing organization.What You’ll Be DoingFinancial Reporting & AnalysisSupport the accounting team in meeting financial reporting deadlines and maintaining accurate financial recordsPrepare and analyze monthly financial reports for executive leadershipInvestigate and resolve material variances and discrepanciesAssist with financial statement preparation and reporting requirementsIdentify trends and provide recommendations based on financial analysisAccounting OperationsLead portions of the monthly financial close process, including journal entries and accrualsMaintain prepaid accounts and balance sheet reconciliationsComplete monthly bank reconciliations and monitor daily banking activitySupport the monthly billing cycle and help resolve billing-related issuesAssist with weekly check run processingSupport monthly A/R aging reviews and assessment activitiesCompliance, Controls & Process ImprovementEnsure compliance with established accounting policies and internal controlsInterpret and implement accounting guidance related to new accounting standards or business changesIdentify accounting, reporting, and internal control risks and recommend solutionsLead accounting projects and process improvement initiativesEvaluate existing workflows and recommend efficiencies and best practicesAudit & Cross-Functional SupportCoordinate and assist with annual audits and supporting documentationSupport year-end reporting activities, including 1099 preparationWork collaboratively with departments across the organizationAssist leadership with special projects and operational initiatives as neededWhat You BringRequiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting3+ years of accounting experience in a fast-paced, mid-sized organizationStrong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Ability to research, interpret, and apply accounting guidanceAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience working with accounting and financial systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent organizational and time-management skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively across departmentsPositive attitude and adaptability in a dynamic environmentAuthorization to work in the United StatesPreferredCPA certification or actively pursuing CPA designationExperience within engineering, consulting, environmental, construction, or related industriesExperience using NetSuiteExperience supporting audits, financial reporting, and process improvement initiativesWork EnvironmentThis position operates in a professional office environment with a hybrid work arrangement.Work ConditionsHybrid schedule with three or more days per week in the office preferredFast-paced and collaborative environmentRegular interaction with accounting, finance, operations, and leadership teamsRoutine use of computers, financial systems, and office equipmentPhysical RequirementsFrequent computer and desk workRegular use of hands and fingers for typing and data entryAbility to sit for extended periodsFrequent communication via phone, video conferencing, and in-person meetingsScheduleFull-timeMonday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.Flexible working hours may be approved based on business needsOccasional additional hours may be required during month-end close, audit periods, or special projectsWork AuthorizationMust be authorized to work in the United StatesBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company match (up to 4%)Health Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Paid time off (PTO)Paid sick timeCompany-sponsored paid holidaysTuition reimbursementEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Why Join Tasman?At Tasman Inc, we deliver environmental, construction, engineering, and consulting solutions with a strong commitment to safety, integrity, and excellence.
