Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Services Representative

Position Summary
Patient Service Representative to support plastic surgery scheduling and related administrative activities. The ideal candidate will have healthcare administrative or PSR experience, strong knowledge of health insurance and authorization processes, and preferably experience using Epic .
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of PSR or healthcare administrative experience , preferably in a hospital setting.
Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.
Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of Patient Service Representative experience.
Previous hospital or surgical scheduling experience.
Experience with Epic EMR .
Required Skills
Health plan insurance knowledge.
Insurance authorization processes.
Epic system experience.
Patient coordination and administrative support.
Preferred Skills
Epic Surgery Scheduling experience.
Experience supporting surgical procedures
Key Responsibilities
Schedule patients for surgical procedures and coordinate appointment details.
Obtain and verify required pre-operative results, reports, and documentation .
Review insurance benefits and complete the necessary authorization process .
Financially clear patients for scheduled surgeries by ensuring required authorizations and insurance information are completed.
Coordinate with patients, physicians, clinical staff, insurance plans, and other departments to resolve scheduling or authorization issues.
Maintain accurate patient and scheduling information in Epic.
Follow established procedures and ensure all required documentation is available before surgery.
Provide professional patient service and respond to questions regarding scheduling and pre-operative requirements.
Perform additional administrative and scheduling duties as assigned.
