Here, families are at the center of every decision, and our teams work together to deliver compassionate, innovative care close to home.What You'll DoWelcome patients and families with professionalism, kindness, and respect.Complete registration functions accurately and efficiently for each encounter.Verify and update demographics, insurance information, primary care provider or referral physician details, and pharmacy of preference when required.Review insurance benefits, determine patient financial responsibility, and create good faith estimates when applicable.Explain essential and legal forms clearly and collect patient responsibility or outstanding balances at the time of service.Ensure financial assessments, eligibility, and benefits information are accurate and complete.Properly identify patients and secure required forms in alignment with regulatory and Nemours Children's Health policies.Support bedside admissions using workstation-on-wheels technology or downtime processes when needed.Clear assigned Workqueues and help resolve patient accounts according to departmental standards.Partner closely with clinical, ancillary, and patient access teams to keep communication clear, respectful, and timely.What Makes You a Great FitYou lead with empathy and understand that families may be arriving during stressful or emotional moments.You are detail-oriented and take pride in getting information right the first time.You communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and team members.You can balance accuracy, service, and speed in a busy healthcare setting.You understand the importance of confidentiality and can use discretion when discussing patient information.You are flexible, dependable, and willing to cross-cover registration functions when department needs change.RequirementsHigh school diploma required.Healthcare experience and customer service experience preferred.Medical office or call center experience preferred.Ability to travel to other locations as required.Schedule flexibility required, including weekends, nights, and holiday rotation as assigned.Cross-training with the Emergency Room is required.What We Offer Competitive base compensation in the top quartile of the marketAnnual incentive compensation that values clinical activity, academic accomplishments and quality improvementComprehensive benefits: health, life, dental, vision403B with employer match.Licensure, CME and dues allowanceNot-for-profit status; eligibility for Public Service Loan ForgivenessFor those living and working in Florida, enjoy the benefit of no state income tax.
