Manager - Epic Inpatient Orders (Remote Available)

Organization HealthIT Core Clinicals Job Summary The Epic Inpatient Orders Team Manager will lead a team of five full‑time analysts and two contractors, assigning work to analysts and prioritizing enhancements and projects. The manager will also oversee the Provider workstream for the Clarksville Hospital Go‑Live and future implementation workgroups. Responsibilities include supporting Epic build, testing, and implementation of inpatient consults and procedures, provider workflows, lab orderables, blood bank, order transmittal, and many other Epic workflows. The manager serves as an escalation point for issues, leads note review efforts, and acts as a secondary on‑call for the Orders team. Key Responsibilities Managing IT staff by recruiting and training employees, communicating job expectations, assigning projects/tasks, and monitoring performance. Ensuring staff alignment with the mission and strategic plan. Ensuring staff compliance with budgets, resource allocation, operational plans, and policies. Ensuring projects stay on track and regularly communicating status to department and business leaders. Reviewing and implementing advances in technology and industry best practices. Assisting with preparation of operating and capital budgets using established guidelines and benchmark data. Other duties may be assigned. Requirements Prior management experience (preferred). Epic Inpatient Orders certification (required). Bachelor’s degree (required).
