Payroll Specialist (Part-Time Contract)The Payroll Specialist will serve as a key member of the payroll team, providing day-to-day payroll processing support, assisting with system transitions, and acting as a backup resource for payroll administration. This role requires a hands-on professional who can quickly adapt, maintain accurate payroll records, and provide exceptional support to employees and managers.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport payroll processing activities and assist with payroll administration.Serve as a backup resource to payroll leadership during payroll cycles and off-cycle payroll processing.Assist with the transition to a new timekeeping and payroll system.Maintain employee payroll records and payroll-related data.Review payroll information for accuracy and compliance.Respond to payroll-related questions from employees and managers.Support payroll reporting and related accounting processes.Assist with payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations.Adapt to evolving priorities and provide support across payroll operations as needed.QualificationsRequired2-5+ years of payroll processing experience.Strong knowledge of payroll processing practices, regulations, and compliance requirements.Experience working with payroll systems and timekeeping platforms.Understanding of payroll-related accounting processes and journal entries.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Excellent communication and customer service skills.PreferredExperience supporting payroll system implementations or conversions.Experience with Paylocity, UKG, or similar payroll platforms.Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.Pay Details: $28.00 to $35.00 per hour
