Make a meaningful impact in the classroom as a Special Education Teacher, supporting elementary students with diverse learning needs. This full-time, onsite contract role offers an opportunity to deliver personalized instruction and collaborate within a vibrant school community dedicated to student growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Proven experience in special education, ideally at the elementary level
- Expertise in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide resource and support services for elementary students with a range of learning needs
- Design effective lessons aligned with students’ IEP goals, adapting teaching strategies as needed
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and report on developmental milestones
- Work closely with general education teachers and ancillary staff to coordinate support
- Collaborate with families to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies for success
- Maintain compliance with district and state special education requirements
- Cultivate a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere where all learners feel valued
This contract position follows the school calendar, running Monday through Friday for a total of 37.5 hours per week. The assignment is set to begin in late August 2026 and will conclude in early June 2027, offering the chance to make a lasting difference over a full school year.
