Senior Operations Specialist

We’re looking for a Senior Operations Specialist who will support our Operations Management & Facilities Services (OMFS) business and projects across the U.S. This role focuses on water/wastewater systems and includes technical, development, startup, commissioning, and O&M pricing expertise. This is a hybrid position working from home with travel requirements of 50% to project sites. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Support DB/DBO commissioning and construction management services Provide OMFS engineering support Perform OMFS startups and due diligence Conduct OMFS troubleshooting and staff augmentation as needed Support client and business development for projects or pursuits Evaluate facilities operations, maintenance, and management, and recommend improvements; assist with startups, development of operational budgets, guidelines, training, and performance evaluations for new facilities Analyze process control procedures and recommend changes where needed Establish cooperative relationships with supervisors, coworkers, and clients Provide onsite supervisory technical and managerial functions in support of internal or external client projects on a short‑term (up to 6 months) basis, as necessary Fill in for a FCO project manager, process lead, or maintenance lead on a short‑term (up to 3 months) basis, as necessary Prepare budgets, reports, and scopes for projects or pursuits Create Standard Operating Procedures, Process Control Narratives, and O&M Manuals for our projects Lead and support key technical tools used in O&M consulting services, such as pricing and process models, maintenance models, training programs, staffing analysis tools, and other core business processes essential to consulting activities Maintain a safe environment and enforce identical standards for the business and O&M coworkers Create and deliver presentations (written and oral) to internal and external clients on findings related to project work Perform any other related duty as assigned or requested Required Qualifications Water or wastewater certification at the highest level in the state of residence Ten (10) years of experience in water/wastewater system facilities, including knowledge of technical aspects of budget preparation and financial accountability Knowledge of safety and quality processes Proficiency with computer software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Valid U.S. state driver’s license with no major infractions Valid U.S. passport A suitable combination of education and experience that may substitute for minimum education requirements Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time, including internationally Preferred Qualifications International travel and work experience Bachelor’s degree Working Conditions Safety is a core value at Jacobs. Compensation & Benefits The base salary range for this position is $110,600.00 to $165,000.00. Final pay is based on location, skills, experience, and education.
