Business Development Representative

BHC Alhambra Hospital is located in the beautiful city of Rosemead, California. Our 115 bed facility established in 1924 prides itself on upholding a standard of excellence that allows our patients to take the first step to recovery. BHC Alhambra Hospital is a private, fully accredited, full-service acute psychiatric hospital serving children, adolescents and adults. BHC Alhambra is dedicated to providing quality behavioral health, substance abuse, and eating disorder treatment. We offer inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient options for individuals in the communities of the San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles County, and surrounding areas.

The Business Development Representative implements the philosophy, policy, procedures, systems and strategic goals set forth by the senior management to develop new business relationships and maximize referrals from existing accounts in order to achieve the goals and objectives for sustained hospital growth. Key responsibilities include:

• Knowledge of business development, sales, and marketing concepts.
• Knowledge of key internal/external healthcare environments.
• Basic knowledge of computers and software programs, such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Demonstrate above average problem solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrate superior sales skills: active listening, rapport building and objection management.
• Highly effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to speak one-on-one and in groups.
• Ability to interpret and communicate data from statistical reports.
• Ability to quickly learn and communicate all hospital treatments and services we offer.
• Ability to use good judgement and to maintain confidentiality of information.

Qualifications requirements:

• Education: High school degree or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of three to five (3-5) years experience in health care business development/marketing environment with measurable business development results, and a knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles, preferred.
• Additional requirements: Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance in applicable state.
