Technical Support Specialist

Candidate must have experience in one or more project management, technology, or other related process areas. Experience working in a civilian federal bureau and in an information technology related activity (i.e.: division, organization, or group). Basic understanding of terms used in information security and/or computer operations and/or software development environments. Process Support Duties Process development, documentation, execution, ongoing management and improvement. Process steps must be accomplished under tight, non-flexible time constraints and be extremely accurate in terms of formatting and content since these affect downstream activities. Tracking of meetings, projects, waivers and reconciling information from multiple information sources (PVCS/Dimensions for configuration management, folder oriented databases, Project Server, and paper reports). Maintaining schedules, deliverables and analyst notes, which may include agenda preparation and minutes. Ability to figure out how things can work even when faced with incomplete information, understanding process along with its impacts and consequences as reflected in high quality and accuracy in work product. Concise effective written articulation, tenacity, and a high attribute for learning. Special Projects and Strategic Planning. Policy Management Updates (All ISSO policies and SOPs). Internal / External Communication (Website Updates, Broadcasts (Security Alerts), Quarterly Newsletter, CIO Briefing (Weekly), Weekly Activity Reports, Waiver Requests (Centralize all waiver documents on the portal) Training and awareness). Training Updates Annual Awareness Training Updates. Role-Based Training Updates. Incident Response Updates. Contingency Planning Updates. Program Administration Supply Orders. ISSO Filing System Maintenance. Technical Writing ISSO Staff meetings (Agenda / minutes / action items posted to portal). Provide Technical writing support to designated teams meetings (Agenda / meeting minutes / action items) Scorecard Management. FISMA Goals. eGov Goals. CSAM CSAM Tool Access Control. Remedy Resolve ISSO Remedy Tickets. Required Skills Excellent MS Word skills and ability to track multiple project events over multiple projects; maintain schedules and think analytically. Concise writing skills and well skills in other MS Office Applications. User experience with MS Project and retrieving information from databases is required. Security Clearance is required.
