Job Summary/Purpose:

Effectively operates and manages all aspects of a child care center, including human resources, customer

relations, marketing, educational programs, financial responsibility, and physical facility. Promotes

positive image of the Ivy Kids within the community and establishes strong working relationships with

state licensing authorities, local and county health deportments, and other regulatory agencies. The

Director reports directly to the owners or managing partners. All program staff reports to the Director.

 Direct, manage, and supervise daily operations of the center

 Provide instructional leadership to ensure high standard of services

 Direct the implementation of center policies and instructional programs

 Manage the operation of all center activities

 Ensure the effective and efficient operation of the center

 

Qualifications:

 The director must meet or exceed state licensing requirements for age, education, and experience.

 Associate or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood

Education

 Childcare Licensing Director’s Credentialing

 Director’s Certification

 Current CPR and First Aid Training

 Three or more years experience in the childcare business (define the years of experience)

 The Director must be qualified to drive the company vehicles when needed.

 The Director must be willing and able to work in any classroom as needed to meet the programs

needs.

 The Director must maintain at least 30 hours of training each year (as per minimum standard

requirements)
