Application Support Engineer

Immediate need for a talented Application Support Engineer . This is a 12+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Spartanburg, SC (Hybrid). Key Responsibilities Monitor and support production applications. Investigate and resolve application incidents and outages. Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions. Work closely with development, infrastructure, and database teams. Support application deployments and production releases. Maintain system documentation and operational procedures. Key Requirements and Technology Experience Must have skills: - Strong experience in Application Support/Production Support, Linux/Unix, Shell Scripting, Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH), Infrastructure troubleshooting, and Oracle Database (SQL/PL/SQL preferred). 3+ years of experience in Application/Production Support. Strong experience with Linux/Unix environments. Proficiency in Shell Scripting (Bash/Korn) . Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, Experience troubleshooting application and infrastructure issues. Working knowledge of Oracle Database , SQL, and PL/SQL is preferred. Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution. Ability to work in a 24x7 production support environment when required. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. ITIL knowledge. Experience with ServiceNow , Splunk, Control-M, or monitoring tools. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus. Willingness to learn Oracle-related technologies and expand technical expertise.
