About the Role
Join a seasoned team serving the tri‐state area with more than 50 years of delivering reliable heating and cooling solutions to commercial, industrial, retail, and educational clients—from Fortune 500 enterprises to fast‑growing local organizations. As a Commercial HVAC Field Service Specialist, you will keep complex building systems running safely and efficiently through expert maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
A Day in the Life- Own scheduled preventive maintenance and rapid response troubleshooting across diverse commercial HVAC assets: chillers, boilers, water source heat pumps, cooling towers, packaged rooftops, split systems, controls, pumps, and VAVs.
- Interpret blueprints, wiring and piping diagrams, and engineering specifications to pinpoint faults and restore operation.
- Operate refrigerant recovery machines, vacuum pumps, charging equipment, and service gauges with precision and safety.
- Dive to the component level for root‑cause analysis and corrective action.
- Verify installations and repairs align with plans and specifications; document findings and actions thoroughly.
- Handle routine system operation checks to ensure safe, reliable facility performance.
- Uphold high standards for workmanship, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Complete accurate paperwork and digital records for every assignment.
- Adapt to varying schedules and shifts based on client needs.
- Apply knowledge of VAV/VVT HVAC systems (preferred).
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
- High School diploma or GED; technical school training preferred.
- EPA certification required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- OSHA certification a plus (not required).
- Physically capable: climbing, carrying 50 lbs+, bending, reaching, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, and working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Must pass drug test and background check
