In this dynamic contract position, you’ll make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting a Dual Immersion Program. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you’ll work closely with students in a bilingual environment, where half of the curriculum and instructional day is conducted exclusively in Spanish. Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential
• Fluency in both Spanish and English (required for Dual Immersion setting)
• Experience working with special education students, ideally in school settings
• Culturally responsive teaching skills and sensitivity to the needs of bilingual learners
• Strong classroom management abilities
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and educational teams

Role Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for special education students aligned with dual immersion and IEP goals
• Teach both in Spanish and English according to program schedule
• Develop and implement individualized instructional and behavioral interventions
• Collaborate with general education teachers, bilingual support staff, and related service providers
• Conduct student assessments and maintain accurate documentation of progress
• Foster a supportive and positive classroom culture that celebrates linguistic and cultural diversity
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth and program updates
