Hearing Coordinator

Hearing Coordinator
Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Service foreclosure, litigation and mediation departments by scheduling hearings and mediations timely and effectively
- Ensure hearings, trials mediations, depositions etc. are added to the diary in firm system
- Maintain records of hearing dates and times and attorney coverage in firm system
- Communicate with judicial assistants to obtain hearing dates to coordinate with opposing counsel, defense counsel and pro se defendants if necessary
- Communicate with caseload attorney and paralegals and provide assistance when needed
- Communicate with local counsel coverage attorney
- Have basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel and MS outlook
- Be very organized and work in a fast paced environment with attention to detail
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A minimum of one year legal administrative experience.
- Foreclosure hearing coordination experience preferred.
Required Education and Training:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Paralegal Certification is optional
