The Role This is a W-2, commission-based In-Home Sales Professional role selling residential roofing and exterior solutions. You’ll meet homeowners through company-provided leads, conduct in-home consultations, and close projects that directly drive your earnings. This is not a pressure-based or discount-driven sales role. Success comes from running a structured sales process, clearly explaining value, and confidently leading conversations about pricing and options. You’ll be supported with pre-set, pre-qualified appointments, a proven sales playbook, and comprehensive training so you can focus on executing at a high level. Responsibilities Conduct multiple in-home inspections and consultations daily Diagnose homeowner needs and recommend appropriate solutions Lead conversations about scope, pricing, and financing options with confidence Deliver clear, company-approved presentations that help homeowners understand value Guide customers through a structured consultation process from inspection to decision Complete contracts, financing paperwork, and documentation accurately Maintain a professional appearance, organized vehicle, and clean sales materials Participate in training, coaching, and team meetings to continuously improve Regularly engage in outside sales, requiring travel to customer locations What Success Looks Like Top performers consistently hold value per opportunity, not just close deals Follow the sales process and don’t skip steps Stay disciplined and productive over time Treat selling as a skill that improves through coaching and practice Who This Role Is a Great Fit For Professionals who have succeeded in commission-based or performance-driven roles People comfortable explaining complex information in a clear, simple way Sellers who are confident talking about price and financial decisions Individuals who value structure, coaching, and continuous improvement Self-directed professionals who take ownership of results This Role May NOT Be a Fit If You Avoid conversations about money or pricing Rely on discounts or pressure to close deals Prefer unstructured, low-accountability environments Are uncomfortable with field-based, in-home work Requirements Required Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to climb ladders, walk roofs, and access attic spaces Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Strong communication skills and professional presence Comfortable using CRM software, Microsoft Office, and iOS tools Preferred In-home sales or high-ticket consultative sales experience Home improvement or construction sales experience (roofing not required) Training & Support Comprehensive paid training program 2-week classroom training plus hands-on field training *Must be comfortable with 2 weeks paid training - potentially in another city* Ongoing coaching and skill development Company vehicle provided as well as other tools to be successful in the field Compensation & Benefits Uncapped commission structure W-2 employee status (not 1099) with benefits and 401k match First-year earnings target: $125,000–$200,000+ Pre-set, pre-qualified leads provided Additional commission incentives for self-generated leads Performance-based bonus opportunities Location Clackamas, OR Job Type: Full-time FLSA: Exempt Compensation Disclosure Compensation for this role may be provided as hourly pay, salary, commission, piece-rate, bonuses, incentives, or a combination of these methods, depending on the position.
