TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Roanoke, Virginia, 24014!

Job Title: RN - ICU/PCU Float Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience at a large Level 1 or 2 facility required. License: Active state or compact RN license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: - Must be comfortable working all ICU and PCU units. - EPIC charting experience required. - Ability to float to different units as needed. Description: Position is for an RN to float in ICU/PCU. Work schedule includes 3x12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. Floating between units occurs based on staffing needs, with reevaluation every 4 hours. There may be a weekend requirement of every other weekend or 6 shifts in a 6-week block. One holiday must be worked per every 13-week contract. Accepts first-time travelers with the required experience and certifications. A commitment to work as scheduled is necessary. Candidates should be familiar with IV therapy, including arterial lines and central/PICC line care. Experience should include respiratory support and care for ventilated patients. Proficiency in medication administration, including continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac drips, is essential. Wound care experience for surgical wounds with drains or wound vacs is necessary. Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias is required. Strict adherence to IV insulin protocols is expected. An average patient ratio will be 2:1 in ICU and 5:1 in PCU. Interdisciplinary support includes therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The facility will work without CNA support.
