Full Charge Bookkeeper

About the Opportunity
A growing manufacturing company is seeking a Bookkeeper to support accounting, operations, and administrative functions. This position is primarily focused on bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities but also offers the opportunity to assist with manufacturing operations, executive support, and special projects as the company continues to expand and improve its systems and processes.
This is not simply an administrative role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals, including double-entry accounting, debits and credits, account classifications, and the overall impact of financial transactions. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
Manufacturing and inventory experience is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Process cash receipts and vendor payments
• Enter and maintain financial transactions within accounting and ERP systems
• Create and maintain journal entries, including cost of goods sold entries
• Prepare and maintain accrued expense and prepaid expense schedules
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate supporting documentation, audit trails, batch records, notes, and transaction memos
• Support month-end accounting processes by ensuring financial data is complete and accurate
• Assist with inventory reconciliations between inventory management and accounting systems

Inventory & Manufacturing Support

• Reconcile inventory system data to the general ledger
• Ensure inventory reports align with accounting records and valuations
• Support sales order and purchase order processing
• Assist with production schedules and operational reporting
• Support inventory tracking, component management, and manufacturing workflows

Administrative & Operational Support

• Assist with executive correspondence and administrative projects
• Prepare meeting materials and operational reports
• Support research initiatives and special projects
• Assist with e-commerce and online sales channel administration as needed
• Provide light marketing and communication support when requested

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Bookkeeper, Junior Accountant, Staff Accountant, or similar accounting role
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting fundamentals
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, cash receipts, and journal entries
• Manufacturing, inventory, distribution, logistics, automotive, aerospace, or product-based industry experience preferred
• Exposure to cost accounting, inventory valuation, bills of materials (BOMs), or standard costing is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Software & Systems Experience
Preferred experience with:

• QuickBooks Online
• Inventory management and ERP systems
• Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
• Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, Gmail)
• Shopify, Amazon Seller platforms, or other e-commerce systems
• Canva, Photoshop, or other marketing/design tools (helpful but not required)
• Apple computer - macOS

Education & Experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred but not required
• Relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience required
• Open to candidates from a variety of experience levels, including experienced professionals seeking flexible long-term opportunities
• Demonstrated understanding of accounting fundamentals is more important than a specific number of years of experience

Compensation
$40,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience
