Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in San Diego, known for its collaborative and supportive team culture. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nursing staff, and rehabilitation specialists, ensuring cohesive and comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical capabilities and identify rehabilitation needs.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and restoring independence.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the application of modalities such as heat and cold therapy, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation.
• Overseeing and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the delivery of high-quality therapeutic services.
• Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary in response to patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
• Interacting closely with patients and their families, educating them on treatment methods and strategies for recovery.
• Maintaining accurate patient documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and clinic policy.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient care strategies and outcomes.
• Staying updated on evidence-based practices and advancements in rehabilitation therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with diverse populations, including post-operative patients, individuals with chronic pain conditions, and those recovering from various musculoskeletal injuries. Our patient demographic is broad, and we cater to all ages, promoting wellness and recovery through tailored rehabilitation programs. By focusing on enhancing the patient experience, you will contribute to their functional independence and overall health outcomes.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution (Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred).
• A valid state licensure (in good standing) to practice as a Physical Therapist in California.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance to facilitate any necessary travel for patient visits.
• Demonstrated ability to lead with creativity and critical thinking in a clinical setting.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication and patient engagement skills.
• A strong work ethic and commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with at least one year of experience working in either acute care or home care settings are preferred. Experience developing treatment plans and direct interactions with patients and families will be highly valued. Proficiency with electronic health record systems and familiarity with federal and state regulations for healthcare services will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
