Radiology Scheduler

The Radiology Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling diagnostic imaging appointments across multiple modalities including CT, MRI, X-ray, Echo, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, and PET/CT. This role ensures accurate appointment placement by reviewing provider orders and scheduling requirements, maintaining patient information within electronic systems, and communicating effectively with patients and clinical teams. The position requires strong organizational skills to manage a high-volume scheduling workload in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities:

• Schedule diagnostic imaging appointments for new and existing patients according to provider orders and department guidelines.
• Coordinate appointments across various imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, X-ray, Echo, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, and PET/CT.
• Review imaging orders and scheduling requirements to ensure accurate appointment placement.
• Use Epic/Excellian and other scheduling systems to enter and maintain patient and appointment information.
• Communicate appointment details, preparation instructions, and locations to patients.
• Coordinate with providers, imaging departments, clinical teams, and other departments to resolve scheduling needs.
• Support insurance verification and prior authorization scheduling workflows as applicable.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
• Manage a high-volume scheduling workload while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and excellent patient service.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in radiology or imaging scheduling.
• Experience scheduling diagnostic imaging appointments for one or more imaging modalities.
• Proficiency with electronic scheduling and/or EMR/EHR systems.
• Ability to manage multiple scheduling requests accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Shakopee, MN.
• Availability Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Completion of Minnesota DHS NetStudy fingerprinting as part of pre-employment compliance.

• Epic scheduling experience; Epic/Excellian Radiant experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with prior authorization and insurance verification processes.
• Experience reviewing provider/imaging orders and scheduling requirements.
• Experience scheduling multiple imaging modalities.

• 100% onsite work requirement at the Shakopee, MN location.
• No weekends or on-call responsibilities.
• Must be able to complete required Minnesota DHS NetStudy fingerprinting.
• Work within a high-volume scheduling environment supporting a multi-modality Diagnostic Services department.

• Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• 40 hours per week with no weekend or holiday shifts.
• Schedule is fixed and onsite.
