Asset Management Associate (Commercial Real Estate)

A growing commercial real estate investment firm is seeking an Asset Management Associate to support the day-to-day operations of a retail property portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating projects, solving problems, building relationships, and keeping multiple priorities moving in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Coordinate the day-to-day operations of a commercial retail property portfolio. Serve as the primary liaison with third-party property management companies to ensure operational priorities and deliverables are completed. Track lease expirations, renewals, critical dates, tenant improvements, and landlord obligations. Coordinate with brokers, tenants, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to keep projects and transactions moving forward. Conduct routine site visits to monitor property conditions, signage, landscaping, maintenance, and ongoing projects. Review operating budgets, invoices, rent rolls, and property reports while identifying variances or issues requiring attention. Monitor tenant delinquencies, vacancies, and operational exceptions, escalating concerns as appropriate. Prepare portfolio updates and status reports for leadership. Maintain organized property records and documentation. Support capital improvement projects and tenant build-outs from planning through completion. Qualifications 3–6 years of commercial real estate experience in asset management, commercial property management, lease administration, or owner-side property operations . Experience supporting retail, office, or mixed-use commercial properties. Ability to read and interpret commercial leases, rent rolls, operating budgets, and property reports. Experience coordinating with third-party property managers, brokers, tenants, vendors, and contractors. Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with Yardi or similar property management software and Microsoft Office. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively solve problems. Willingness to travel locally throughout South Florida for regular property visits.
