Cost Accountant

StevenDouglas is engaged on a search for Cost Accountant with a fabulous Austin based company. This role is an individual contributor role with future management potential. Seeking candidates with strong 4 year cost experience within manufacturing industry. This role is onsite in North Austin. What You’ll Do Own key elements of the month-end close, including journal entries, variance analysis, and KPI reporting Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Strategic Sourcing to drive cost savings, productivity, and smarter decision-making Analyze manufacturing performance, demand changes, capacity planning, and standard costing Analyze and explain manufacturing cost drivers across the “middle of the P&L,” with deep focus Perform detailed variance analysis including absorption, PPV, IPV, and discrete job variances on COGS and inventory impacts Leverage ERP reporting to improve insights, forecasting, and performance tracking Support audits, internal controls, and inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventories What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4+ years of operational or manufacturing finance experience Hands-on understanding of standard costing, inventory flows, and cost absorption Strong Excel and ERP skills (Oracle preferred) Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive business partner mindset #J-18808-Ljbffr StevenDouglas
