Travel RN – Pulmonary Stepdown (IMC/PCU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Full-Time | Onsite | Projected Start: June 15, 2026 | Weekend requirement: 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts per 6-week period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a pulmonary stepdown unit with a patient ratio of 1:3–4 (stepdown) or 1:4–6 (med/surg)
• Perform tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and wound dressing changes
• Monitor and manage patients on cardiac drips and care for stable ventilated patients
• Utilize lifts and other unit equipment in accordance with safety protocols
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
• Float to other med/surg and progressive care units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience working with tracheostomy patients
• Active RN licensure (or eligibility) in North Carolina
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience with Cerner EMR
• Background in progressive care or stepdown nursing environments
• Flexibility and demonstrated high level of clinical competence
