Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). Rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Patient ratio 1:4.

Highlights:

• Specialized neurological progressive care unit with stroke and neurosurgery patient population
• Epic electronic medical record system utilized throughout organization
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Adult patient population with focus on neurological diagnoses including CVA, craniotomy, traumatic brain injury, and post-neurosurgery care
• Advanced procedures including TNK administration, lumbar drains, and post-TPA care
• Float opportunities to expand clinical experience across multiple units within the organization

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Epic electronic medical record experience required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Strong neurological nursing skills including management and interpretation of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, heparin protocols, and isolation precautions
• Ability to float to different units as needed
• Two professional references required (one must be from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
